Brief : Central Coast Council’s website redesign aimed to create a modern, user-friendly platform that simplified online interactions for residents, businesses, and staff. The project focused on delivering a seamless user experience on both desktop and mobile devices, making it easier to access key services and information. Niche Ignite was tasked with rebuilding the website to improve navigation, enhance functionality, and ensure staff could maintain it efficiently. Advanced features such as dynamic forms, event management tools, and secure systems were integrated into the back end, reflecting the council’s commitment to innovation and accessibility.
Approach : Niche Ignite started the project by engaging closely with Central Coast Council’s team through a detailed site mapping workshop. This collaborative process allowed us to clearly define the structure and navigation of the new website, ensuring it aligned with the council’s priorities and user needs. As the council outsourced the creation of new copy, we worked to format and integrate this content into the site during development, making adjustments as required to accommodate the evolving material.
Throughout the project, we demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in response to changes within the council’s team, including welcoming new members and addressing the challenges these transitions presented. By maintaining clear communication and fostering a collaborative atmosphere, we were able to navigate these hurdles effectively. Custom training sessions and video tutorials were also delivered to empower the council’s staff, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to manage the website confidently post-launch.
